Links to other Littlemore Sites
You’ve probably arrived here from our own Littlemore Family History pages. If not, you can follow this link to reach them.
The earliest known members of our Littlemore family were living in Cheshire in the sixteenth centtury. In the following century a number of them were Quakers, some working as ‘whitesmiths’, and in particular as clockmakers. An article about “Joseph and Jacob Littlemore of Frodsham, early Quaker clockmakers” can be found here.
Later generations included many Littlemores (probably more than a hundred) who worked, and often lived, on the canals. The Boat Families website has details of all of them. A twentieth-century member of that branch, Jenny Glyn (née Littlemore), was interviewed by the Oxford Canal Heritage Project in 2014.
And of course there’s a wealth of other sites on the web to help you with your genealogical researches. Follow the link to see a few of our favourites.
