John married Hester (surname unknown) and had a daughter, also called Hester, in 1723. John died in 1741 and Hester senior in 1744.

John’s daughter Hester was born in 1723. In 1743 she married John Collins of Falfield:  the couple had a son and six daughters: Mabel born in 1745, Ann in 1748, William in 1751, Betty and Mary (birth-dates unknown), Hannah in 1759 and Eunice. John died intestate (and so presumably unexpectedly) on 4 August 1762, still at Falfield, and was buried at Thornbury. Letters of Administration were granted to Hester on 20 October. She was still alive in 1776, when she gave consent to Mary’s marriage, but had died by October 1783.
